Man accused of stabbing 2 people in Charleston

CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) - A man was arrested after being accused of stabbing two people in Charleston.

On January 4 at 6:37 a.m., the Charleston Police Department was called to the 1100 block of 6th St. Officers found one person had been stabbed.

The person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officers said during their investigation they learned a second person had also been stabbed. Neither person sustained life threatening injuries.

CPD said as a result of their investigation, a warrant was obtained for Aidan Pruiett for Aggravated Battery.

Pruiett was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and placed in the Coles County Jail until his next court appearance.
