CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) - AÂ man arrested after being accused of stabbing two people in Charleston has pleaded not guilty. Â
According to court records, Aidan Pruiett pleaded not guilty to the charges. Â
Charleston police were called just after 6:30 a.m. Jan. 4 to the 1100 block of 6th St. Officers found one person had been stabbed.Â
The person was taken to the hospital for treatment.Â
Officers said during their investigation, they learned a second person had also been stabbed. Neither person sustained life-threatening injuries.Â
CPD said as a result of their investigation, a warrant was obtained for Pruiett for Aggravated Battery.Â
Pruiett was arrested and placed in the Coles County Jail. A judge ordered him to remain in jail until his status hearing at 10 a.m. Feb. 23.
