SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A Chatham man has been arrested for burglary after police said he stole thousands of dollars in sports trading cards from a Springfield business.Â
On December 4 at 4:55 a.m., two suspects broke into 217 Comics, Cards, and Games in the 1800 block of Stevenson Dr.Â
About $20,000 worth of trading cards were taken.Â
Sangamon County Sheriff's detectives were able to identify one of the suspects with surveillance video as Tyler Hulcher, 34.Â
Hulcher had a warrant issued for his arrest on Dec. 12 on charges of burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.Â
He was arrested around 8 a.m. on Dec. 17 by the United States Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force.Â
Detectives are still working to identify the second suspect.Â
Hulcher has ten prior arrests for traffic, drug-related, criminal damage, and alcohol-related offenses.Â
He is in custody at the Sangamon County Jail pending a detention hearing.
