DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A man charged in an August 2022 shooting has entered a plea for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. 

Kyle Escoe was one of three men charged in connection to the shooting death of Arrion L. McClelland. The shooting happened in August 2022 on N. Oakland Avenue. 

According to Decatur Police, Escoe was located and arrested on the outstanding warrant in Chicago in September 2022 by the Chicago Police Department.

As a part of the plea agreement, other charges Escoe were facing were dropped. He was sentenced to six years in prison. He will receive credit for time served between September 28, 2022, through February 13, 2025. He is also day for day eligible.
