CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - A heavy police presence could be seen late Friday in Champaign.Â
A WAND-TV crew watched responders carrying someone out on a stretcher in the area of Springfield Avenue and Kenwood Road. Police were unable to confirm what exactly happened, but told the station they were looking into a shots fired call.
Officers said they are investigating a situation in the area of Country Brook Apartments, which are located at 2502 W. Springfield Ave.
