TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death has pleaded guilty to the crime.

Michaela L. Herpstreith was arrested for the stabbing death of 40-year-old Jason R. Bright.

In August 2021, Herpstreith entered a plea of guilty to Second-Degree Murder. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
