CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Illinois Fighting Illini hit the road to take on the #24 Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Illinois did just enough to hold off Northwestern on Sunday in a 74-71 win at the State Farm Center. Forward Berry Wallace continued her stellar season with a 29-point performance against the Wildcats. Nebraska is 14-5 on the year, yet has struggled in Big Ten play with a 3-5 record.
A win would move the Illini to 9-21 all-time against the Cornhuskers, including a 4-3 under coach Shauna Green, per Illinois Athletics.
