Major tennis tournament comes to Decatur

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Professional tennis is set to return to the Soy City this summer.

The Illinois Women's Pro Tennis Championships will take place June 8-14 at the Fairview Tennis Complex in Decatur.

The Robison Family will again serve as the presenting sponsor of the championships.

This event will be part of the USTA Pro Circuit and will feature around 70 players from over 20 countries to compete for a $30,000 prize and Women's Tennis Association (WTA) world ranking points.

"After seeing the tremendous success of last year’s event, we are honored to support it again and hope young kids in our community will come out to watch these world-class athletes, feel inspired by the same dream, and develop their own love for the game," said Keri (Robison) Roth in a press release.
