MONTICELLO, Ill. (WAND) - Monticello's Ike Young is staying home.
You might know Ike as the Sages quarterback, or maybe on the basketball court, or even possibly on the diamond where he had a 2.16 ERA on the mound last year.
Young signed with Illinois Baseball on Wednesday, joining a team that won the Big Ten last season.
But there was a very short window for Young to celebrate as he is focused on getting the Monticello Football team one step closer to State.
The Sages will host Benton on Saturday in the Quarterfinals.
