DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Wednesday! It was a gorgeous day across Central Illinois on Tuesday as high temperatures hit the mid-50s. It will be cooler for the next few days before warmer temperatures move in for the weekend. There will be plenty of sunshine again today, but high temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler behind a cold front that moved through yesterday.
Clouds will increase overnight into Thursday morning, but temperatures will still fall into the upper 20s. This will lead to a mostly cloudy and cool setup for Thursday. There is a weak system moving through overnight into Friday morning, but it looks like we will stay dry through Friday morning.
Temperatures will be warming up for the weekend. Above-average temperatures will persist through next week. The only shot of rain will be Saturday night into Sunday morning. That system has trended southward, but some rain could still push into Central Illinois.
