DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Caroline Reese moves to weekend mornings to anchor WAND News Weekend Wake Up. 

Reese joined WAND News in July 2024 as a reporter. She's visited communities across central Illinois sharing positive stories and highlighting the best of what the area has to offer. 

A Wantage, New Jersey, native, Reese graduated from Emerson College where she studied Journalism and Media Production. She anchored "Good Morning Emerson" and was named "Outstanding TV Personality" by the school. 

"Caroline has an infectious smile and contagious personality," said WAND News Director Rod Hissong. "Her craft and commitment to journalism and strong storytelling is what helps her stand out. We're excited WAND viewers get to spend weekend mornings with Caroline. They'll see very quickly why we like being around Caroline."

In addition to anchoring WAND News Weekend Wake Up, Reese will report several mornings during the week alongside Sierra Rucker, Deron Molen, and Anthony Peoples on WAND Wake Up. 

"I'm looking forward to waking up with central Illinois on Saturday and Sunday mornings," said Reese. "As we talk about the latest news and weather we want to also help start the day with a smile and a laugh."

WAND News Weekend Wake Up airs LIVE 6 a.m to 7 a.m. on Saturdays and 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Sundays.
