RANTOUL, Ill. (WAND) - One local ice cream shop in Rantoul will be closing its doors on Labor Day.
The Main Scoop posted on Facebook Sunday morning that it will close its location in the town Sept. 1.
"This was not an easy decision—but like many small businesses, we rely on community support, and sometimes the numbers just don’t add up," the business said in the post.
The shop will close at 8 p.m., given the holiday hours.
While the Rantoul location is closing, The Main Scoop said its locations in Mahomet, Monticello, Urbana and Paxton will remain open.
