DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Rising Pharmaceuticals is partnering with Workforce Investment Solutions to offer a Rapid Response Workshop and Mini Job Fair for impacted workers. 

New Jersey-based Rising Pharmaceuticals is ending its Decatur operations after two years.

About 95 employees were told the company was shutting down its two Decatur facilities effective immediately. A worker told WAND News the company will provide severance in the form of full pay and benefits through Nov. 15.

The city was notified by Rising while paperwork for a state WARN notice was also filed.

Workforce Investment Solutions is a team of local professionals dedicated to helping job seekers. The career planners can help provide access to opportunities, remove barriers to education and training, and develop a plan for employment. 

The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 2 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Decatur Public Library in the Madden Room. 

Workforce Investment Solutions, Department of Employment Security, and the Department of Insurance will be available from 9:30-10:30. A Mini Job Fair will be held from 10:30 to noon.
