(WAND) — Libraries, government buildings, and nonprofits are planning to close their doors on Thursday and Friday due to severe winter weather.

Anyone planning a trip to a library, courthouse, or other public building should check online or call ahead before leaving home.

Listed below are just a few of the offices closing on Thursday and Friday:

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY:

  • Champaign Public Library and Douglass Branch Library closed Thursday and Friday.
  • City of Champaign Administrative Offices closed Thursday-Monday
  • City of Urbana Business Offices closed Thursday.
  • Urbana Park District Facilities, Programs, and Classes closed Thursday and Friday.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:

  • Douglas County Health Department closed Thursday at noon and all Friday.

MACON COUNTY:

  • All Macon County buildings closed Thursday and Friday. Includes Macon County Courthouse, Macon County Office Building, Macon County Health Department and the  Macon County Animal Shelter.
  • Meals on Wheels: Congregate Meal Closed, Delivery Meals Open.
  • Decatur Public Library closes at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, closed Friday.
  • Argenta Public Library closes at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
  • Decatur Social Security Building closes at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
  • DMH Cardio- Pulmonary Rehab- closed Friday, reopens Tuesday.
  • Crossing Healthcare Main Clinic & Elements will be closed Friday, December 23 due to weather, closed Monday, December 26 due to the holiday and will reopen Tuesday, December 27.
  • Multiple Memorial Health Specialty Offices closed Thursday and Friday.
  •  City government offices at the Decatur Civic Center will close early at 3:30pm on Thursday.
  • City offices will be closed on Monday, December 26, in observance of the Christmas holiday. All offices should resume normal operations on Tuesday, December 27.
