MACON COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - A Macon County man is facing charges after being accused of secretly recording young girls in his home's shower, according to a sworn police statement.

Court records show 27-year-old Johnathan Osman was arrested on multiple counts of child pornography on Aug. 22 in Decatur.

Records show on August 13 a woman reported to Decatur police that she saw a blinking light in the hallway bathroom vent while at Osman's home. She said she also saw two videos on an iPad belonging to Osman that showed young girls taking their clothes off and getting into the shower.

Police executed a search warrant at Osman's home on Holly Drive Officers found a vent/fan had been altered with wiring and a USB cord plugged in. They said the fan was still in place, and there was a space that would allow an item or camera to fit in the location.

DPD said Osman denied putting a camera in the bathroom but said he would have "been the only one to do that" because he is the only adult living there. He said he did not know why he would have done that, saying it "had to be because of curiosity... because of the girls' development."

Osman is charged with two counts of Production of Child Pornography, two counts of Child Pornography and two counts of Unauthorized Video Recording.

At a court appearance on Monday, Osman was denied pre-trial release. He's due back in court on Sept. 10.
