CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) — Police are investigating Sunday after one person was hurt in a stabbing in Charleston.
The Charleston Police Department said it happened in the 1100 block of 6th Street.
Officers found a person who was stabbed when they arrived to the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital. Police would not say what condition they are in.
Investigators said they have identified a known person of interest. It is unclear whether they have been arrested. According to police, the stabbing was an isolated incident and there is no continued threat to the community.
