DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Decatur police are investigating after a shooting at Johns Hill Park Sunday evening.
According to the Decatur Police Department, officers are responding to reports of gunshots at the park. DPD confirmed with WAND News that one person was shot.
It is unclear what condition they are in, or if any arrests have been made.
Photos taken by a WAND photojournalist on scene show several police cars and crime scene tape up in the area.
Police are asking people to avoid the park while they investigate. WAND is working to learn more.
