DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – The need for blood is constant. It’s needed 365 days a year. But when holidays like the Fourth of July come around, donations drop off as people focus on families, fun and entertainment.
ImpactLife needs 3,500 blood donations a week to serve its four-state region. The Region includes communities like Decatur, Springfield, Champaign, Urbana, Mattoon, Effingham and Danville.
Throughout the holiday weekend, ImpactLife will have its donation centers open for people who would like to help out.
