SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A horse is dead after a racing accident at the Illinois State Fair on Wednesday.Â
WAND reached out to an Illinois State Fair spokesperson that said a horse got loose from its rider and jumped the fence during harness racing.
No fairgoers were injured, but the horse died.
