Midwest Mission Distribution Center shipping kits to help hurricane victims

CHATHAM - Midwest Mission Distribution Center officials say they are sending "Personal Dignity Kits" to the organization Food For The Poor to distribute to Hurricane Matthew victims in Haiti and Jamaica.

Officials say approximately 10,000 kits, which include a hand towel, wash cloth, comb, nail clippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, soap, and a razor, will be shipped.  The Midwest Mission Distribution Center also shipped personal dignity kits, school bag kits, tarps, and ponchos in September in anticipation of the hurricane season.

MMDC Executive Director Pat Wright says, "We are excited to be able to quickly respond to requests and be able to help people out in their time of need."
