URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - The City of Urbana announced Wednesday that Fire Chief Demond Dade has resigned.
The City of Urbana made the announcement in a press release and did not mention Dade's reason for leaving the Urbana Fire Department.
"Chief Dade has dedicated himself to the safety and well-being of Urbana residents, and I thank him for his service. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors," said Urbana Mayor DeShawn Williams in a statement.
Dade was appointed as Urbana's Fire Chief in May 2022.
