CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — The City of Champaign is invited residents to come together for their Welcoming Week from September 12-21 to celebrate immigrants in the community.
The week will feature over 20 inclusive events, from cultural showcases to educational workshops, aimed at fostering understanding and strengthening community bonds.
The week will be capped off with the Welcoming Week Family Festival on September 21 from 12-3 p.m. at the Downtown Champaign Plaza.
The festival will feature cultural performances, family activities, food trucks and interactive engagement for all ages. It will be free and open to the public.
