SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Downtown Springfield businesses are helping locals fall in love with their city again.
The "My Heart's Downtown" campaign will have a kickoff meeting at 5:30 p.m.
The goal is to bring together businesses to make the district more inviting for local families.
That will include a Kidzeum Love Day, a Family Date Night, highlighted by carriage rides, the unveiling of a seven-foot heart sculpture at the Old State Capitol Plaza and various special promotions.
