DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — A Danville man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for dealing methamphetamine.Â
40-year-old Kyle Blackburn of Danville pleaded guilty to methamphetamine delivery Tuesday.
According to the Vermilion County State's Attorney, Blackburn was pulled over by Danville police in November of 2024 and arrested for driving on a suspended license.
The state's attorney said officers searched Blackburn's vehicle and found over 5 grams of meth, a scale and small baggies.
Blackburn admitted to police that he had been driving another person around to sell the meth.
Blackburn was sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by one year of mandatory supervised release.Â
