DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Two people were displaced after a morning house fire in Decatur Friday.

The Decatur Fire Department responded to a home in the 1500 block of North Monroe Street just after 7 a.m.

DFD told WAND News that one woman was home at the time of the fire, but she got out on her own.

The Red Cross was called in to help the two people who were displaced, according to the fire department.

The department said firefighters were on scene for about 30 minutes, and the fire was a "room and contents" fire, which means the fire was confined to one room.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
