URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — An arrest has been made in a September shots fired incident in Urbana.

The U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 39-year-old Demetrius Vaughn Tuesday after police say he shot at people in a car following an argument.

The Urbana Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the 1500 block of East Washington Street on September 9.

According to police, Vaughn was in an argument involving several people. They said, he left and came back in a car a short time later, getting out and shooting into another car with people in it. Nobody was hit. 

Vaughn was arrested on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, attempted first degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, and aggravated battery.

The investigation is still ongoing.
