Gas Leak (C)

PARIS, Ill. (WAND) - Traffic is being rerouted due to a large gas leak in Paris. 

The Paris Fire Department said the leak is in the area of Route 1 and 1200. 

Southbound traffic is being diverted down 1200 heading west. Northbound traffic is shut down at Pool's True Value. 

Drivers are told to avoid the area while the fire department works with Ameren CIPS to fix the leak and reopen the road. 

Route 1 has been temporarily closed.
