It's time for WAND Two-a-Days! Gordon Voit and Noah Newman preview two high school football teams a day every day until the season kicks off on August 24th!
WARRENSBURG -- New faces abound at Warrensburg-Latham.
Gone are record-setting speedsters Dionte and Diondre Lewis, who have moved on to Millikin's football program.
In their place step the likes of QB Nate Hayes and RB Davis Brumbaugh, plus WR Tanner Dawson who will start after not playing football since sixth grade. Established returners like K Shawn Troike, WR Will Kent, WR Mitchell Leathers and WR Jorden Tedford will join an offensive line that is among the team's best position groups, led by four-year starter AJ Speasl.
New head coach Aaron Fricke steps in for the departed Scott Godfrey (Bloomington High) after serving as head coach at Piasa Southwestern. Fricke is a Lincoln native who played quarterback for the Railers.
