Two sheriff's department employees and a Bunker Hill police officer are facing charges after a bar fight in Macoupin County.

STAUNTON, Ill. (WAND) - Two sheriff's department employees and a Bunker Hill police officer are facing charges after a bar fight in Macoupin County.

The Staunton Police Department said officers were contacted Monday by the victim's sister. She claimed the fight happened at Skeeters bar around 1 a.m. Saturday.

The victim told police that he was beaten by three men, later identified as Logan Hemp, Joshua Revisky, and Jeffery Schoen.

Hemp and Revisky are both employees of the Macoupin County Sheriff's Department. Schoen was a police officer in Bunker Hill. Late Wednesday, Bunker Hill Chief of Police Zach Girth said Schoen "is no longer an officer with the City of Bunker Hill."

Police said Hemp, Revisky, and Schoen were arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail for mob action and aggravated battery in a public place. They were booked into the Montgomery County Jail "due to employment conflicts."

Tuesday, all three were taken to the Macoupin County Courthouse for an initial appearance and a hearing regarding pretrial release.

They were formally charged with aggravated battery in a public place and released from custody under pretrial conditions as outlined by the SAFE-T Act.

Hemp and Revisky have been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. Their positions with the sheriff's department have not been made public.

The Macoupin County State's Attorney's Office will be seeking a special prosecutor due to conflict of interest in the case.
