A Facebook post made by History of the Heartland said that Judge Michael Baggett did not accept arguments made by the current occupants challenging the court proceedings. The lawyer for the new owner of the property pushed for a resolution on the case that has been brewing since the sale of the property in September of this year.
The current occupants apparently made an offer to the new owner's attorney to settle the case. The offer could not be resolved so the occupants asked for a continuance.
The judge sided with the owner calling the attempts to continue the case by making a settlement "a day late and a dollar short."
