Week 26: Lukas Eagle (Mt. Zion wrestling)
Mt. Zion wrestler Lukas Eagle is in the middle of a season for the ages, going 27-1 as the state meet concludes this Saturday at the State Farm Center. The 152-pound senior will wrestle for a shot at third place in Class 1A on Saturday and came one point (3-2) away from making the finals.
Eagle maintains a 3.5 GPA and hopes to start a career at the intersection of sports and medicine once his wrestling days are over. In this WAND interview, hear from Lukas and his father Gene Eagle about what makes Lukas a special student-athlete on and off the mat.
